The Masked Singer
In January 2022, Owen competed on the third series of The Masked Singer UK as the character "Doughnuts," performing Five's Everybody Get Up before being eliminated in the quarter-finals. He said afterwards that his children had "badgered" him into taking part, and that he had never watched the show before signing up.
Deal or No Deal
Owen also appeared on a celebrity special of the revived Deal or No Deal, playing in aid of the eye health charity Fight for Sight — a cause close to him given his son James's Stargardt disease diagnosis. Despite some bold risk-taking with the Banker's offers during the game, he ultimately banked £4,000 for charity.
